A music selecting system and a method using mobile phone of karaoke machine are provided to control the karaoke machine using a mobile phone. In a server, the song title of the singing room system and a music selection number and the remote control signal corresponding to that is recorded. A mobile phone is connected to server and the search of the music selection number according to the singing room system and song title are possible through the input means and the search result is recorded in the built-in memory. The remote control signal coming under corresponding selection of music data in selection of music data input including the singing room system information recorded through the input means and song title or the music selection number is outputted in the remote control signal generating unit to the corresponding singing room system. The song title, and a music selection number are recorded in the memory of the cellular phone as the separate identification number. The mobile phone downloads signals for functions of a selection, cancel, and the reservation button.
