<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-performance iron-based rare earth nano-composite magnet powder. <P>SOLUTION: The production method includes the steps of: preparing a molten alloy having a composition expressed by the formula: T<SB>100-x-y-z-n</SB>Q<SB>x</SB>R<SB>y</SB>Ti<SB>z</SB>M<SB>n</SB>(wherein T is Fe or a transition metal element obtained by replacing a portion of Fe by at least one element chosen from the group consisting of Co and Ni; Q is at least one element chosen from the group consisting of B and C; R is a rare earth element; and M is a metal element), provided that the compositional ratios x, y, z and n satisfy the relations: 5≤x≤10 atom%, 7≤y≤10 atom%, 0.1≤z≤5 atom% and 0≤n≤10 atom%, respectively; quenching and solidifying the same; coarsely grinding the obtained solidified alloy; heating the same; preparing a composite magnet; and pulverizing the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
