<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control phase noise in the vicinity of signal in fine settings for variable interval in frequency (channel step) and the setting of higher phase comparison frequency. <P>SOLUTION: The synthesizer provides, to a first loop 84 for generating a high-frequency signal, a second loop 85 for adjusting the reference frequency of the first loop 84. The second loop 85 adjusts the reference frequency of the first loop 84 to the target frequency. The first loop 84 generates the high-frequency signal by using the reference frequency adjusted by the second loop 85. Since the second loop 85 conducts fine adjustment of the reference frequency of the first loop 84, resolution in setting of the frequency will not become rough, even if the denominator of a frequency dividing circuit of the first loop 84 is made small. The desired frequency can be oscillated without lowering the resolution, even if the denominator of the frequency dividing circuit of the first loop 84 is made small. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
