PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map change information informing device that notifies whether the map information is changed. SOLUTION: This map change information informing device stores the map information and the changed map information which is the updated information of the map information, and stores the ground object image data, corresponding to the map information or the changed map information. A map information display means displays the map information and the changed map information, following the predetermined input operations. A ground object image data retrieval means retrieves the ground object image data that match the map information shown on the map information display. A ground object image change discriminating means checks, whether the contents of the ground object image found by the ground object image data retrieval means has been changed. A ground object image data change discrimination result informing means informs the results checked by the ground object image change discriminating means. Then, according to the user's operations, a map information changed content display means shows the changed map information contents (such as, newly constructed buildings, etc.) within the coverage that the map information display is showing.
