PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack-mountable electronic equipment housing box which can increase a mountable weight of a unit. SOLUTION: The electronic equipment housing box includes unit mounting metal fittings 20 on the right and left of an inside of a box body 10 having an opening 15 in a front part. The unit 50 is mounted by bridging it between the right and left unit mounting metal fittings. In the first invention, a rear end of the unit mounting metal fittings 20 is fixed on a back surface plate 12 of the box body or a box side surface plate rear part, and a front end is fixed on the opening 15 of the box body 10. In the second invention, the rear end of the unit mounting metal fitting 20 is fixed on the rear surface plate 12 of the box main body, and the front end is fixed on a box side surface plate front part.
