PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nickel alloy powder production method for producing nickel alloy powder which has a highly controlled alloy composition, a grain size of <0.1μm, is easily treatable in the air and has high dispersibility and hardly causes delamination when being used for an MLCC. SOLUTION: The nickel alloy powder production method is characterized in that a gaseous mixture of gaseous nickel chloride and at least one kind of gaseous metal chloride selected from among tungsten, molybdenum, niobium and tantalum is subjected to vapor phase hydrogen reduction at 980 to 1,150°C to obtain nickel alloy powder having an average grain size of 10 to 100 nm.
