PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load carrying aid for reducing burdens put on the arm of a load when carrying the load. SOLUTION: The load carrying aid is provided with a cube 12 having a short shaft hole 11 for inserting a short shaft 7 with a bowl-shaped recessed part 10 on the periphery on the center to be positioned right behind the short shaft 7 in use. A shoulder belt 14 for suspending the cube 12 from the shoulder is provided on the upper adjacent surface of the surface provided with the short shaft hole 11 of the cube 12, and a belt loop 16 is attached to the surfaces where the left and right cubes 12 face each other. When using the load carrying aid, the respective shoulder belts 14 are put on the shoulders, a commercially available belt 15 is inserted to the belt loops 16 attached to the cubes 12, and when the belt 15 is tightened at the lower back, the cubes 12 are fixed. Armrests 1 are provided with arm belts 3 to which hook-and-loop fasteners 4 are attached, and they are put around the arms from the wrist to the elbow and fixed. The load is held, the short shafts 7 provided on the armrests 1 are inserted to the short shaft holes 11 provided on the cubes 12 to fix the armrests 1, and the burdens put on the arms of the load are reduced.
