An air heater for a vehicle is provided to prevent a heating element from being overheated and prevent electrical short or fire due to the overheating. An air heater(100) for a vehicle comprises a fixed frame(10) installed to an intake manifold; a heating element whose both tips are connected to a connection terminal and a ground terminal; a moving member(50) contacting at both tips of the heating element; an elastic member(70) arranged between the moving member and the fixed frame; and a switching module(90) installed to the fixed frame. The heating element is constituted with a metal plate of strap bended in zigzags. The heating element generates heat using electrical resistance of power applied. The power is applied from a power supply part.
