<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding tool for a primary coated optical fiber with which an extremely thin primary coated optical fiber can be favorably wired along an indoor wall or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The holding tool for a primary coated optical fiber is used to wire a primary coated optical fiber P produced by forming a thin coating layer outside an optical fiber having a core and a clad, along a mounting surface. The tool includes a holding base 1 made of a synthetic resin having flexibility and formed into a long strip, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 4 with a release paper 5 attached to the bottom face of the holding base 1. A holding groove 2 where the primary coated optical fiber P is fitted is formed on an upper face of the holding base 1, the groove formed continuously in the longitudinal direction while keeping a cross section similar to the cross-sectional form of the primary coated optical fiber P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
