<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a pedestrian enabling the smooth cooling of a radiator even when it is disposed at the portion of a front grille and capable of accurately protecting the pedestrian by the inflated airbag. <P>SOLUTION: This airbag device M1 for a pedestrian comprises the airbag 27 stored to be folded at the portion of the front grille 12 disposed forward of the radiator inside an engine room ER. The front grille 12 comprises a ventilation part 13 having a through hole 14 longitudinally extended therethrough to introduce the outside air to the radiator 8 side, and a frame part 16 arranged around the ventilation part 13. The airbag 27 comprises at least one of a panel cover part stored to be folded in the frame part 16 and covering the front end 9a side of a hood panel 9, or a lamp cover part for covering a head lamp from the front side to the upper side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
