PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device where the display state of a through-image is kept nearly uniform even when luminance in field is changed while achieving speeding-up in AF and reduction of power consumption as in the conventional manner. SOLUTION: A contrast AF means is constituted of an AF control part in a CPU 110, a motor driver, a focus lens and a CCD, and is equipped with a wobbling mode instead of a continuous AF mode, and then the focus lens is operated in the wobbling mode when luminance shows brightness darker than predetermined brightness (under Ev6).
