PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of setting photographing conditions while taking into account a camera-shake amount that may be greatly different among individuals, and user's preference. SOLUTION: A shutter speed that determines an exposure time to a CCD 14 and photographic sensitivity (an amplification factor of an image signal captured using the CCD 14) can be changed and in response to a one-time photographing instruction, either a normal photographing mode during which one digital image data are captured or a continuous photographing mode during which a plurality of digital image data are captured is selectively executed. In photographing processing during the continuous photographing mode, the plurality of digital image data are captured while making the exposure time and the amplification factor different from each other in the photographing conditions, and one of the captured digital image data is selected. The photographing conditions of the selected digital image data are then stored, selection tendency information is derived on the basis of the stored photographing conditions and when setting the photographing conditions in photographing processing during the normal photographing mode, the derived selection tendency information is taken into account.
