PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable adjustment of mixing balance between a main audio and a sub audio according to a viewer (user) request. SOLUTION: The method for customizing audio mixing decodes the main audio stream and sub audio stream, and mixes the decoded main audio and decoded sub audio for output. The method informs the possibility of adjustment of mixing the main audio obtained by decoding the main audio stream and the sub audio obtained by decoding the sub audio stream (S06Y) when both the main audio stream and sub audio stream are decoded (S01Y), and updates a mixing coefficient by following such an operation to output the decoded main audio and decoded sub audio with a mixing balance set by following the updated mixing coefficient as the user changes the mixing balance between the decoded main audio and decoded sub audio (S18Y or S20Y).
