PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, which can retain low-temperature fixability even in use of a fixing device having a mechanism for giving a certain temeprature gradient to a fixing area, and never causes cracking of image after fixation. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a latent image forming means 6 for forming a latent image on an image holder 8, developing means 9-12 for developing the latent image to a toner image by a developer containing toner, transfer means 15 and 16 for transferring the resulting toner image onto a recording medium, and fixing means 20 and 22 for heating and pressurizing the transferred toner image by a fixing member to fix it on the recording medium. The toner contains a crystalline resin C obtained by mixing two or more crystalline resins at least differed in molecular weight, and the fixing means includes at least a belt member 20 as the fixing member.
