PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly detect a rotation angle of a magnet even when a GMR element is disposed outside a rotation range of the magnet. SOLUTION: The angle sensor 100 detecting a rotation angle of the magnet 101 includes the magnet 101 which is rotatably provided and the GMR element 102 provided outside the rotation range formed by the rotation of the magnet 101 and detecting the direction of a magnetic field generated from the magnet 101. The magnet 101 has a shape comprising a rectilinear part 101a in plan view in which an outer circumference of a circular shape in plan view of a disk shape is equally cut by two parallel sides and circular arc parts 101b.
