PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow meter which can surely detect an abnormality in a provided pressure detecting means itself by discriminating it from a case in which an actual pressure value is zero. SOLUTION: The flow meter (exemplified by a gas meter 1) comprises a flow detecting means (exemplified by a flow sensor 15) for detecting the flow of a fluid under measurement, a pressure detecting means (exemplified by a pressure sensor 16) for detecting the pressure of the fluid under measurement, and an abnormality determining means 12. The abnormality determining means 12 determines the pressure sensor 16 to be abnormal when the pressure sensor 16 does not output a response signal against a pressure value request signal input from an external input means or when a pressure value is not detected even though the response signal is present and a flow is detected by the flow sensor 15.
