<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grommet which can enhance the reliability of sealing surely through action of a seal lip. <P>SOLUTION: In a grommet 10 having a small diameter tubular portion 21 holding a wire harness W which penetrates the grommet, a large diameter tubular portion 11 formed integrally with the small diameter tubular portion and provided, in the outer circumference thereof, with a groove 18 which fits to the inner circumferential edge of the through hole Pa in an attachment object panel P, and a seal lip 16 protruding from the footprint of the groove and sealing a gap to the panel by adhesion to the inner circumferential surface of the through hole in the panel, the thickness t of the seal lip 16 is set such that the seal lip can deform by falling flexibly along the inner circumferential surface of the through hole with a pressure when it touches the inner circumferential surface of the through hole in the panel, and the protrusion height h of the seal lip 16 is set such that the seal lip can always abut against the inner circumferential surface of the through hole even when the clearance between the through hole and the footprint of the groove is opened to the maximum during normal use. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
