A method for preparing high solid content acrylic emulsion with low-viscosity and acrylic emulsion prepared thereby are provided to form small particle seeds and to widen the particle-size distribution by using an ionic surfactant and a non-ionic surfactant together and controlling the injection time of a surfactant. A method for preparing high solid content acrylic emulsion comprises a step for injecting an ionic surfactant, a non-ionic surfactant or their combination in a mixture of an acrylic monomer and water by dividing them into 2 times or more, wherein the acrylic monomer comprises a tackifying acrylic monomer 60-85wt.%, a strength-imparting acrylic monomer 14-34wt.% and crosslinkable acrylic monomer 1-6wt.%. The anionic surfactant and non-ionic surfactant are put in the amount of 0.1-5wt% based on the weight of an acrylic monomer.
