<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polysaccharides having new structures and physical properties derived from microbes, a method for producing the polysaccharides, and medicines, cosmetics and external skin preparations containing the polysaccharides. <P>SOLUTION: The polysaccharides are obtained by culturing bacteria of Halomonas sp. which are marine-derived microbes and separating and purifying the cultured product. The polysaccharides essentially comprise D-galactose, D-glucuronic acid and D-mannose as structural saccharides and have a weight average molecular weight of 1,500,000 to 8,500,000 measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The polysaccharides are used for a moisturizing agent, hyaluronidase inhibitor, blood coagulation inhibitor, cosmetic and external skin preparation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
