PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to view and listen to broadcast programs and contents on a network in accordance with user's preferences. SOLUTION: A recording/reproducing device 100 searches each VOD content, having the same contents as those of each broadcast program in an EPG database 31, from on the Internet 21 according to search conditions. When a VOD content that satisfies the search conditions is searched, the recording/reproducing device displays a VOD icon 52 for identifying the VOD content in a title column 51 on an EPG 50 of the program. When the title column 51 of the program whose VOD icon 52 is displayed is selected, a function list 54 is displayed. When "VOD reproduction" is selected on the function list 54, the VOD content having the highest priority is subjected to streaming reproduction. When a "VOD list" is selected, a VOD list 55 in which searched VODs are made into a list for respective reproduction conditions is displayed.
