PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a transfer avoidance allowable cost allowed as a transfer avoidance cost for avoiding transfer at a connection place of transportation and search for a route, when a candidate route from any departure point to a destination is searched for using the transportation. SOLUTION: The navigation system 10 includes an operation input means 26 for inputting a route search condition including the transfer avoidance allowable cost allowed as the transfer avoidance cost for avoiding transfer at the connection place of transportation, and a network data editing means 36 for adding the transfer avoidance allowable cost input by the operation inputting means 26 to the route cost including the connection included in the network data for route search. A route search means 33, when the transfer avoidance allowable cost is included in the route search condition, searches for the optimal route based on the route cost obtained by adding the transfer avoidance allowable cost to the route cost including the connection by the network data editing means 36.
