PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which can efficiently radiate generated heat, can be made compact and further can suppress manufacturing cost as well. SOLUTION: The projector has a power unit which supplies power to various devices disposed in the inside of an exterior casing and a lamp drive unit which drives a light source device. The power unit and the lamp drive unit are disposed in the exterior casing so as to hold the light source device between them. The power unit and the lamp drive unit are disposed in individual electromagnetic shield casings 71 and 81, respectively and the bottom surface parts 72 and 82 of the electromagnetic shield casings 71 and 81 disposed around the power unit and the lamp drive unit, respectively serve as a bottom surface member 91 including one member provided with a light shielding part 92 for blocking irradiation from the light source device to the exterior casing so as to cover one side inner surface of the exterior casing facing the light source device.
