PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and easily manufacturing an insert decorative molded article excellent in aesthetic feeling without exposing a backer layer to the surface of the insert decorative molded product by the trimming of a flange-like part being the unnecessary part of a decorative sheet having a protruded part and the flange-like part continued to the protruded part formed thereto by vacuum forming. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the insert decorative molded article which comprises a vacuum forming process of molding the decorative sheet so as to form the protruded part and the flange-like part continued to the protruded part, a trimming process of trimming the flange-like part and an injection process of injecting a molding resin to the trimmed decorative sheet, the flange-like part is trimmed so as to leave the flange-like part of which the length is 1-3 times the thickness of the decorative sheet.
