PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a correction amount in a short time. SOLUTION: A discharge head 15 is held on a head unit relatively movable in relation to a substrate. A filter 30 passing very little amount of particles included in the particle-containing ink is provided between a pressure chamber 26 communicating with a correction nozzle 29 in the discharge head 15 and an ink chamber 25. Thus, even when using ink containing about 10 wt.% of particles, the concentration of the particles contained in the ink discharged from the correction nozzle 29 can be lowered to about 2 wt.%, to reduce dispersion of points of impact. As a result, for finding a center position of the dispersion points of impact with an accuracy of±5μm, a series of work from discharge of the ink from the correction nozzle 29 to measurement of the points of impact is to be merely repeated 10 times, thereby highly accurately correcting the points of impact in a short time.
