PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner lance for charging powder or granule article capable of supplying the powdery and granular matter into a smelting reduction furnace together with gas fuel and combustion assist gas, and suitably preheating the powdery or granular matter Insert molding by combustion flame at a tip of the lance. SOLUTION: The burner lance comprises a multiple tube structure with a first tube body 1a, a second tube body 2a, and a third tube body 3a concentrically arranged in this order from inside. A powdery and granular matter flow passage X is inside the first tube body 1a, a gas fuel flow passage Y is between the first tube body 1a and the second tube body 2a, and a combustion assist gas flow passage z is between the second tube body 2a and the third tube body 3a. Tips of the respective flow passages composes a discharging port and the tip of the first tube body 1a is positioned more inward than the tip of the second tube body 2a in the burner. Inward the burner, as the gas fuel is diffused to a center part side of a powdery and granular matter falling flow to be in a state of being premixed with the powdery and granular matter, most of the powdery and granular matter falling flow can pass through an area of the combustion flame and the powdery and granular matter can be suitably preheated by the combustion flame.
