An apparatus for adhering an adhesive tape is provided with a pressurizing tool (8) having a plurality of pressurizing surfaces arranged on base members (2, 6) to be rotary driven; a supply reel (14) for supplying a releasing tape (17) whereupon an adhesive tape (16) is adhered, along the pressurizing surface of the outer circumference of the pressurizing tool (8); a cutter (28), which is arranged to face one of the pressurizing surfaces of the pressurizing tool (14) and cuts only the adhesive tape (16) adhered on the releasing tape (17) at a prescribed length; and a backup tool (41) which supports the lower surface of the side portion of a substrate when the cuter (28) is arranged to face the pressurizing surface in the downstream from the opposing pressurizing surface, base members (2, 6) are driven in a descending direction to adhere the adhesive tape (16) cut at the prescribed length on the upper surface of the side portion of the substrate by the pressurizing surface. |
