<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately monitor brightness of a backlight without being influenced by variation of a reflection sheet with time. <P>SOLUTION: Light exiting to the rear face of a light guide plate (5) through a reflection sheet hole (7a), a chassis hole (8a) and a base hole (13a) is directly measured with an optical sensor (11). Sizes of the reflection sheet hole (7a) and a base hole (13a) are adjusted so that light transmitted through the reflection sheet (7) is not transmitted to the optical sensor (11). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
