PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a print shift intrinsic to a display is generated, when intaglio-printing an arrangement of ball spacers within a liquid crystal display face, to be cyclically shifted from a portion intended to arrange the ball spacers, and wherein that is generated as a defect on display, in a manufacturing method for the liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for the liquid crystal display sealed with a liquid crystal between a pair of substrates 6, 7 via the ball spacers 11 has a process for intaglio-printing the ball spacers 11 on at least one of the substrates, and the ball spacers 11 are arranged irregularly.
