PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve handleability of a window regulator without a guide rail before its assembling and improve the workability of assembling work. SOLUTION: The cable driving device 16 is constituted by stretching inner cables 15a-15c like a closed loop horizontally 8 over among cable guides 11-14 arranged in the vertical direction and on the right and left sides and attaching carrier plates 17, 18 holding window glass to the parts facing the vertical direction to reciprocate, circulate, and drive end parts of the inner cables 15a-15c. This window regulator 10 is provided with a temporary holding piece 40 for holding the cable guide 13 on the lower right side temporarily and detachably in a drum housing 25 of the cable driving device 16.
