PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material with hard coating film forming no interference pattern, having superior adhesiveness to the base material, abrasion resistance, scratch resistance, pencil hardness, and alkali resistance, and coating liquid used for forming the hard coating film. SOLUTION: The base material with hard coating film consists of the base material and hard coat film formed on one surface of the raw material, wherein the hard coat film contains an organic resin-based matrix component and silica-based composite oxide particles, and the refraction index of the base material is in the range of 1.45-1.55. An average particle size of the silica-based composite oxide particles is in the range of 5-500 nm. The coating liquid used for forming the hard coating film contains the matrix forming component, silica-based composite oxide particles, and a dispersion medium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
