PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide beads for a wire saw with high versatility, maintaining both sharpness in cutting and service life extension and also to provide the wire saw. SOLUTION: In these beads 3 for the wire saw, a first cutting part 5 of a metal bond type is arranged on a front side of a sleeve 4, a second cutting part 6 of a brazing type is arranged on a rear side of the sleeve 4, and thereby diamond abrasive grain D1 continues autogenous on the front side where impact is large when performing cutting by an autogenous action of the diamond abrasive grain D1 in the first cutting part 5 on the front side. Sharpness in cutting of the beads can be maintained, therefore, by a cooperation with the second cutting part 6 on the rear side. The impact added to the second cutting part 6 on the rear side is temporarily mitigated by the first cutting part 5 when performing cutting, and thereby falling of the diamond abrasive grain D2 of the second cutting part 6 is suppressed.
