PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding structure which can reduce a friction coefficient and improve a wear resistance, even under a severe sliding environment such as high surface pressure. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a sliding structure comprising: a pair of sliding members on at least one sliding surfaces of which among mutually sliding surfaces a hard carbon coating film is formed; and a lubricant existing between a pair of the sliding members, wherein the lubricant is a vegetable lubricant containing at least one of oleic acid, linoleic acid and linolenic acid.
