PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide navigation system and program for easily recognizing distance from present location to destination. SOLUTION: This navigation system is provided with information acquisition processing means, display processing means for displaying map on display section 35, and magnified view display processing means for displaying magnified view of the destination. The magnified view display processing means determines as to whether the destination is consecutive cross-point or not, if so, displays self-car position indicator mark on the magnified view, displays a first remaining distance display area for indicating remaining distance from the present location to a first guide cross-point subsequent to the above self-car position indicator mark, and then displays a second remaining distance display area for indicating remaining distance from the present location to a second guide cross-point on the specified position of the magnified view. As the first remaining distance display area is displayed subsequent to the above self-car position indicator mark and then the second remaining distance display area is displayed on the magnified view when the destination is consecutive cross-point, drivers can easily recognize the remaining distance while recognizing shape of road.
