PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature measuring instrument capable of measuring contactlessly, precisely and easily a temperature of gas three-dimensionally. SOLUTION: A plurality of digital images is prepared by applying an optical visualization method of in-line-irradiating a sheet 1 drawn with a particle pattern disposed in a background, from a plurality of directions A, B, C, in an objective temperature field 6, in order to measure the temperature of gas, and of photographing a change of refractive index generated by the temperature field 6, along the CCD camera directions A, B, C. A refractive index distribution of light due to the temperature change is calculated using a mutual correlation algorithm and a computer tomographic analytical method called as an algebraic reconstitution method. A three-dimensional temperature distribution of the gas is measured by applying a relation between the refractive index and the temperature. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
