A hairdressing apparatus having two jaws (2,3) movably mounted between an open position and a closed position, wherein the hair can be inserted between the jaws, the casings (7,8) of the jaws defining a handle (1) and each having at the front end thereof a processing cylinder (10,11) rotatably inserted about the longitudinal axis of the jaw, at least one of the cylinders including a heating member (18). According to the invention, the apparatus includes a means (30) for detecting the closed position of the jaws (2,3) arranged in the vicinity of the processing cylinders (10,11). |
