<p>A method for triggering instant messaging (IM) on the network game server sets the game user identification and the corresponding IM user identification in the first place, and the network game client determines whether an IM operation instruction targeted at the game user identification has been received, if so, the IM user identification corresponding to the game user identification would be queried; the network game client takes the queried IM user identification as a calling parameter, as well as calls an operation interface of the IM client corresponding to the IM operation instruction, and the operation interface triggers the corresponding IM operation. A network game system for triggering IM operation is also provided. With the invention, it is possible to trigger the IM operation during the network game, the process for triggering the IM operation could be simplified, and the system resource of the IM client could be saved.</p> |
