A millimeter-wave radio employs directional antennal arrays, electroactive polymer actuators, and associated control circuitry to direct millimeter-wave radio signals. The directionality provides antenna gain that addresses the attenuation problems associated with millimeter waves, while the directional control and power efficiency of the electroactive polymer actuators supports flexible radio placement.
