Method and device for determining defects on a component of a turbine

The method involves dividing a group of heater testing heads (18) into multiple virtual testing heads (20, 22, 24). An ultrasonic signal is transmitted on a flat region of a turbine blade and a blade base (12) by the group of heater testing heads, where the flat region is examined. The ultrasonic signal that is directed on the individual flat region that is to be examined is received by two of the virtual testing heads. An independent claim is also included for a measuring and evaluating device for detecting defects and/or flaw on components of a turbine.
