PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection display device easily attaining continuous light quantity control without causing unevenness of illumination of light applied to a light bulb in response to a video signal, thereby allowing constant image display with satisfactory contrast. SOLUTION: The projection display device includes the light bulb 2; a light source 3a generating light applied to the light bulb 2; an integrator lens 4 arranged on an optical path between the light source 3a and the light bulb 2 and making uniform the illumination distribution of light applied from the light source 3a to the light bulb 2; and a light quantity control system 9 arranged on the optical path and including a turning mechanism 9a turning like a set of double doors in order to adjust the quantity of light applied from the light source 3a to the light bulb 2. The turning mechanism 9a is bent in V-shape in a direction to reduce the quantity of light (to block the light). COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
