<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping device having a new structure which can be compatible with high dimensional precision and strength at a relatively low cost and accomplished in a hollow housing of the vibration damping device. <P>SOLUTION: The hollow housing 12 is comprised of a fixed frame 22 formed of a press molded article fixed on a vibration damping member and a housing main body 20 attached to the fixed frame 22. With the housing main body 20 inserted between the top plate portion 50 and the base plate portion 48 through an opening 58 in the fastening frame 22, an urging force of a first spring projection 64 of the fixed frame 22 is directed against the housing main body 20 from one of the top plate portion 50 and the base plate portion 48 towards the other, thereby holding the housing main body 20 pressed against the other of the top plate portion 50 and the base plate portion 48, while an urging force of a second spring projection 66 of the fixed frame 22 is directed against the housing main body 20 towards the opening 58 from the back plate portion 52 causing the housing main body 20 to be engaged with a catch projection 68 of the fixed frame 22 of the housing main body 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
