PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide constitution such that when an AD converter is provided for each pixel array, respective elements can be arrayed without increasing the element array width. SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion device has a plurality of AD converters, which each have an operational amplifier circuit portion, a comparator circuit portion comparing the output signal of the operational amplifier circuit portion with a reference signal, a DA converter circuit portion DA-converting a signal based upon a signal from the comparator circuit portion, and a sample and holding portion arranged at an input portion of the operational amplifier circuit portion, the DA converter circuit portion being disposed between the comparator circuit portion and operational amplifier circuit portion.
