PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid cable having a large effect of suppressing movement of an insulation oil. SOLUTION: The solid cable 1 includes an insulation layer (main insulation layer 12m) at the outer circumference of a conductor 10. The main insulation layer 12m has an oil movement suppression part 12mpin which an insulating member is wound around so that a part of the insulating member to form an adjoining turn may be overlapped, and the portion other than the suppression part 12mpis constructed of a gap winding. Since the oil movement suppression part 12mphas a higher resistance to oil movement compared with the portion consisting of the gap winding, movement of insulation oil to the outer circumference side of the insulation layer 12 and the longitudinal direction of the cable 1 can be suppressed.
