PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of lowering exchange frequency of a filter element by eliminating local clogging occurring in the filter element. SOLUTION: The filter apparatus 12 for coating has the filter element 35 filtering paint in a casing body 34, and the filter element 35 forms a dirty chamber 37 and a clean chamber 38. The dirty chamber 37 is provided with a first port 44 near one end 35a of the filter element and a second port 27 near the other end 35b of the filter element.
