PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selenium-containing wastewater treatment method and apparatus which can perform reduction treatment of hexavalent selenium-containing wastewater to effectively remove selenium with a small elution amount of metal, and preferably, generate easily disposable sludge whose color is white. SOLUTION: In the selenium-containing wastewater treatment method whereby selenium-containing wastewater is brought into contact with a mixture of metallic titanium and other metals and keeps a part of the other metals eluted to reduce selenium, the particle size of the metallic titanium is 4 mm or less, and that of the other metals is 1 mm or more.
