PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent variation in measuring milk fat using Gerberís method resulting from manually shaking a Gerber tube, and deterioration of accuracy in Milko-Scan caused thereby. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a device A for vibrating and mixing a Gerber tube constituted of a Gerber-tube holder 5 disposed on a rotary table 4 which is forwardly and reversely rotated by a stepping motor 3 and moved upward and downward by an electric slider 2 to cause a Gerber tube 6 held by the Gerber-tube holder 5 to rotationally and vertically vibrate so that the content in the Gerber tube 6 is mixed by vibration in the same manner as in the case of manual vibration. The Gerber-tube holder 5 is housed in a housing case 1 to prevent the danger of scattering a mixture of sulfuric acid and milk even if the Gerber tube 6 is detached from the holder 5.
