PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyzer for evaluating performance of an optical shutter that is superior in temporal resolution and strong against electrical noise. SOLUTION: The analyzer for evaluating performance of optical shutter is constituted of a light source 6, an optical shutter 3, a spectroscope 8, and an analyzer 9. A chirped pulse laser, whose frequency is temporally changed and whose change is known, is used as the light source 6. A laser beam 7 is made incident on the spectroscope 8. The frequency spectra respectively found when the optical shutter 3 is operated and when it is not operated, or the frequency spectra, found before and after passing through a shutter device, when the optical shutter is operated are stored/operated operated by the analysis device 9.
