The invention relates to a transparent filter element designed for the prevention of healthy eyes and for the therapy and prophylaxis of pseudophakic eyes and/or eyes with retinal and macular degeneration. The invention is characterised in that it comprises the application of a filter with yellow pigmentation to the transparent or translucent surface(s) of the visor of a protective helmet, in order to provide protection against short wavelengths in the visible spectrum (from 500 to 380 nm). For example, the aforementioned element can be applied to the visors of helmets used for sports, work, motorcycling, etc. The invention combines the transparent or translucent surface(s) of the visor of any protective helmet with a filter with yellow pigmentation which absorbs short wavelengths from 500 to 380 nm. |
