Disclosed is a synchronous motor comprising multiple coil segments (1) that are each provided with an iron core (2) in the form of a laminated core, around which a coil (3) is wound. Said coil segments are characterized in that fastening elements (4) encompassing at least two legs (5.1, 5.2) are pressed against two opposite surfaces of the substantially cuboidal iron core by means of the coils. At least one leg (5.1) of the fastening element is pressed against the iron core, said at least one leg (5.1) resting against the iron core, and at least one free leg (5.2) of the fastening element extends at an angle from the iron core. The free legs are mounted on connecting elements (6) which interconnect multiple coil segments.
