The system has an inner wall (14) of an end pipe (10) including a cladding element (16) e.g. metal fiber mat, for temporary storage of fluid phase i.e. condensate, formed in exhaust gas. The element is formed from a temperature resistant material based on a temperature of the exhaust gas. The material is temperature resistant for a temperature of the exhaust gas greater than 350 degree Celsius. The element including fiber, fabric, fibrous web or sinter structure is ceramic or metal. The element includes porosity with pore size in range from 1 micrometer to 500 micrometers.
