MAP SCROLLING METHOD IN NAVIGATION TERMINAL AND THE NAVIGATION TERMINAL THEREOF

A map scroll method in a navigation terminal and the navigation terminal are provided to allow the user to rapidly shift the map screen by displaying multi-directional keypad in the spot in which input is made by the user. A map scroll method in a navigation terminal comprises the steps of: determining whether an input through a touch screen is made in a map screen during a navigation mode; displaying a multi-directional keypad in the input spot when input is detected; determining the generation of dragging event in the state multi-directional keypad is displayed; producing the dragging direction and displacement corresponding to the dragging event; and controlling the traveling direction and speed of the map screen according to the calculated dragging direction and displacement.
